Welcome to the first in our new party series.. A couple of weeks ago saw the announcement of Cosmo's Midnight upcoming national tour celebrating their latest single Snare, taking in a range of dates around the country, including a Perth show Saturday 7 March at Gilkisons Dance Studio. Last year we through a little Christmas soiree down in the rave cave that is Gilkisons with some friends including Lido, Sophie, Nadus, QT and Sable, and it looked a little something like this: Post by Pilerats.   As you can maybe tell, we had a really good time - such a good time we've been waiting for the chance to head back, and now we are for the first in a new series - At The Pile, a run of shows featuring some of this country's most exciting artists, in a very party-friendly environment. To make sure vibes are at maximum levels, we've also invited a bunch our favourite acts to help support proceedings, for a lineup that we're a) proud of, and more importantly b) looks like this: Head to the Face

Unknown Mortal Orchestra drop the lo-fi vibes in favor of some old schools synths on their new single, Multi-Love.. Multi-Love is the title track of Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s album that will be released May 26 via Jagjaguwar. The first thing that strikes you about Multi-Love is how different it sounds to previous releases. But the first listen doesn’t give any hints as to why, it just sounds unique within the pop landscape. But if you give yourself the time to delve into the song the thick slabs of synth and towering vocals capture you. It’s as if you’re driving into the most beautiful city that you could imagine; you can see that in the distance there is something glimmering but for now you’re only catching glimpses of its full glory. Get dark with Indian Summer's new video clip..

A couple of the Van She gang get back together with smooth af results.. Headed by Matt Van Schie (Van She/Du Tonc), Tear Council is a new outlet for Van Schie, and one that sees him re-uniting with former Van She bandmate Michael Di Francesco, probably better known to you as the bass-happy bandit Touch Sensitive. The first single from a double A side release, Anywhere is a solid preview of what's to from Sydney’s Tear Council – a project described by Van Schie as an outlet for his “more emotional outpourings”. Anywhere packs some serious Ryan Gosling-looking-moody-and-driving-around vibes, whilst simultaneously already feeling like an essential summer tune. Take a listen below, and get ready for plenty more Tear Council as Van Schie gears up for debut live performances this April and a video for Anywhere due in March. Cultural binge with no bucks.. Perth’s pulsing with performance, art and people (so many people!) right now, with annual independent arts event Fringe World in full swing. The festival have turned up the heat with a mammoth 2015 programme; with over 500 events going down – you can peruse them, and buy tickets, HERE.
