Showtime USA has confirmed that the upcoming eighth season of Weeds will be the bong-com's last.
The final season will begin airing in the US on July 1, with a return epsiode that will resolve the gunshot cliff-hanger ending of season seven.
The show, which follows the mis-adventures of drug-dealing soccer mum Nancy Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker), caused much controversy when it began in 2005 but has gone on to be lauded by critics and even earn Emmy awards.
