Rock singer to take on new venture.
He's known as one of Australia's best rock singers, but Jimmy Barnes has taken on a whole new venture and teamed up with legendary children's group, The Wiggles, to record a new kids' album.
The two iconic acts have are set to deliver Och Aye The G'Nu this month, as well as children's books of the same name, inspired by Barnes grandchildren, in April.
The books follow the story of G'Nu, a wildebeest, who lives in Glasgow Zoo with his best friend, Kangaroo.
"It has been such an honour and a pleasure to work with my old friends The Wiggles, on this project," the Cold Chisel frontman said.

"[Blue Wiggle, Anthony Field] is the best in the world in this field and he guided me through this project every step of the way. We had a lot of fun doing it too.
"Och Aye the G'Nu was written for my grandchildren, especially my cheeky little red headed Scot. Glasgow holds a special place in my heart and it was also inspired by my love of Scotland."
Field added, "The songs on Och Aye the G'Nu are absolutely beautiful, they come from Jimmy's heart.
"There's also a great sense of fun, perfect for the young listener. Every morning we'd come into the studio and be so excited, we knew we were working on a very special project for children. It was one of the greatest experiences working with Jimmy."
Och Aye the G'Nu is due out on 31 March via ABC/Universal Music, while the books will hit shelves on 1 April via Five Mile Press.
