'The Voice Australia' Filming Postponed Due To Coronavirus

Channel Nine have confirmed the news.

Filming for the latest season of The Voice Australia has been temporarily postponed "in the wake of the coronavirus and new Government protocols".

Judges Guy Sebastian and Kelly Rowland, as well as host Renee Bargh are currently in the US and given that filming is meant to take place on 26-27 March, the new 14-day self-imposed isolation rules mean that Channel Nine have been forced to put the brakes on the TV singing competition.

A Nine spokesperson confirmed the news in a statement given to The Music.

"The filming of The Voice has been temporarily postponed in the wake of the coronavirus and new Government protocols," the spokesperson said.

"The show is still currently on track to begin airing in its originally planned timeframe, which will be announced in the coming months."

The ninth season of The Voice Australia will return this year with Sebastian and Kelly to be joined by fellow returning judges, Boy George and Delta Goodrem.
