Of Monsters And Men On Their Expansive Career & The Music Industry: "I Can Really See How Bizarre A Lot Of It Is"

Big Name Aussie Acts To Perform On New Regional Victorian Live Music Tour

Launching next month.

Victoria has scored a new regional touring series, kicking off next month.

The series, Small Town Big Sound, is a six-week long event that will see artists tour to regional centres and is the work of Vanessa, the Transport Accident Commission’s youth communication program.

Bad//Dreems, Amyl & The Sniffers, Camp Cope, Birdz, Kee'ahn, Floodlights, Elizabeth, Alice Skye, Harmony Byrne and more have been locked in to perform across the shows, with the series kicking off at Point Lonsdale in the Barwon South West region on Friday 16 April.

It will then travel to the Mornington/Bass Coast, Loddon Mallee, Grampians, Gippsland and Hume regions in the weeks after.

"We want everyone at Small Town Big Sound events to have a great time, but more importantly we want everyone to make good choices and get home safely," said TAC Senior Manager, Engagement, Meg Jacobs.

"If you’re planning to have a drink, then planning a safe way home should be top priority and our Vanessa staff will be there to help you do that, and provide free breath tests."

"One of the silver linings of the COVID cloud for us is the chance to get out and play more regional dates, which is something that we’ve always wanted to do, but have struggled to fit in," added Bad//Dreems' Alex Cameron.

"A lot of our music deals with places and people outside of the city, so it’s really important to us to take our music there. Living in a regional centre myself, I know how much people appreciate touring artists coming to town. Can’t wait!”
