"We will be back."
UB40’s 40th-anniversary tour of Australia has been pushed back to 2021 “due to travel restrictions and for the safety of fans”.
The UK legends were originally slated to undertake an extensive tour of Australia back in May, but we forced to postpone until October and November due to the COVID pandemic. They'll now return next April.
“We always look forward to trips Down Under, but we know it’s only a temporary delay, we will be back,” the band said.
“The most important thing is that we all stay safe and we’ll see you on the other side of this ordeal.”
The rescheduling follows news last month that band member Duncan Campbell had suffered a stroke, which forced the postponement of a number of other dates while he recovers.
“It was obviously a shock and very worrying when we heard about Duncan having his stroke, but he’s having a well-deserved rest and continues to recover at home,” UB40’s Robin Campbell said of his brother.

All purchased tickets will remain valid for the new dates.
"We strongly encourage all ticket holders to hang on to their tickets, not just to this show, but to all upcoming tours they’ve had their hearts set on," tour promoter and MJR Presents director Scott Mesiti said.
"Keep them on your fridge, or your calendar or your desk as a simple reminder that we’ll get through this, and when we come out the other side, there’s going to be some amazing live music waiting for us."
