Renowned ‘80s rockers Twisted Sister will reunite in 2026 to celebrate their 50th anniversary, the band members revealed in statements.
While no tour dates or venues have been announced, each member of the band shared their own statements outlining their excitement on the band’s website.
“If you’re lucky enough to be in a band that people still want to see after fifty years(!), how can you not answer the call?” said frontman Dee Snider. “In 2026, Twisted Fucking Sister will hit stages around the world because WE STILL WANNA ROCK!!”
Guitarist Jay Jay French added, “Beginning on February 2nd, 1976, in a little bar called The Turtleneck Inn in Hunter Mountain, NY, Dee Snider, Eddie Ojeda, and I have called ourselves Twisted Sister and stood shoulder to shoulder for nearly five decades, through multiple personnel changes and thousands of performances.
“We are proud to celebrate a milestone that once felt unthinkable: a 50-year anniversary!! We have created a music and performance legacy that has and will continue to inspire millions of fans around the world. Twisted Forever, Forever Twisted!”
Fellow guitarist Eddie Ojeda commented, “Fifty years on, and Twisted Sister is still the soundtrack for every rebel with a reason, and a reason to turn it up.”

Joining the band on drums will be a former member of Twisted Sister, Joe “Seven” Franco, who last performed with the group in 1987. Bassist Russell Pzütto will also be familiar with fans, having played with Twisted Sister and been a previous touring member of Dee Snider’s solo outings.
Twisted Sister drummer A.J. Pero passed away in 2015. In 2016, the band embarked on a farewell tour with superstar Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater, Avenged Sevenfold) on drums.
If Twisted Sister bring their 50th anniversary world tour to Australia, it’ll mark their first shows Down Under since their first (and possibly final) shows in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane in 1985.
