Twerps Announce New Single, Video + Album Details

Catch them on tour with Belle & Sebastian early next year

Jangly Melburnian poppers Twerps have made all the right movements to cap off their 2014 in a big way, with the announcement today of new single Back To You, its accompanying video clip, and fresh details about impending sophomore full-length Range Anxiety.

The track is the first single to be taken from the impending album, which is slated for a January 23, 2015, release in Australia and New Zealand via Chapter Music, and globally through Merge Records on January 27.

Impressively, Twerps are the first Australian signing to grace the roster at Merge, which is renowned as being one of the world's foremost indie labels, hosting heavyweights of the field such as Arcade Fire and Caribou. As a fitting welcome, Merge will also release Back To You as a 7" vinyl (with non-album B-side Always Waiting) in early November.

Check the track and clip, directed by Johann Rashid (Eastlink, Home Travel), below, then head to Chapter Music's webstore, bandcamp or iTunes to grab Back To You as a download and/or pre-order the Range Anxiety LP.

Dig it? Then good news — Twerps are aboard the Sugar Mountain line-up in late January, then go on to support Belle & Sebastian on their national tour at the end of that month and early February.
