News has come in overnight that No Use For A Name front man and solo artist Tony Sly has sadly passed away, aged 41. At the time of posting, information regarding Sly's passing is still limited, but the following statement was posted on the Fat Wreck Chords website, the longtime label for both Sly's solo material, and No Use For A Name. "It is with great sorrow that we must say goodbye to Tony Sly of No Use For A Name. We received a call earlier today of his passing, and are devastated. We have lost an incredible talent, friend, and father – one of the true greats. Fat Mike had this to say: “One of my dearest friends and favorite song writers has gone way too soon. Tony, you will be greatly missed.”" Sly released nine full-length albums with No Use For A Name during their 25 year career, the latest being 2006's "The Feel Good Record of the Year". Sly also released a number of solo records over the years, with his latest full-length "Sad Bear" hitting shelves last year. More info...
