“It’s been a crazy ride.”

Byron Bay-based singer-songwriter Tones & I has officially rewritten ARIA chart history with global megahit Dance Monkey.

The track has placed at #1 on the ARIA Singles chart for its 16th-straight week, and, as such, now holds the record for the longest streak on the chart in its entire history.

The record was previously held by Ed Sheeran’s Shape Of You, which spent 15 weeks on top in 2017.

Tones & I also holds onto #1 on the UK Singles chart for a seventh week with Dance Monkey.

“Thank you so much Australia for the love and support around my career and single Dance Monkey,” Tones & I told The Music.
