The reaction has been... interesting.
Well, that was something - some pop-rock, a lot of rap and about three seconds of Spongebob Squarepants.
After getting the call-up to perform at this year's Super Bowl halftime show, Maroon 5 delivered a performance that is already dividing viewers.
While fans of the US band were no doubt very much into it (yes, Adam Levine took his shirt off), others weren't sure exactly what they were watching. Blink-182's Mark Hoppus went one step further, tweeting, "This halftime show is worse than when my parents got divorced".

Maroon 5 were joined on stage by US rapper Travis Scott (who turned the set into an all-out rap show for a few minutes with SICKO MODE while Levine stood in the background awkwardly bopping his head along) and Atlanta's own Big Boi who performed Outkast hit, The Way You Move.
Here's what people made of the performance.

Thanks Maroon5 just in case there was anybody left on the planet who thought white people were cool.
