It’s been a long time since American emo/pop-punk pioneers The Wonder Years and Joyce Manor toured Australia, but in March and April 2025, the wait will finally come to an end.
The Wonder Years, last in Australia in December 2018 as part of Good Things Festival, and Joyce Manor, last in Australia in 2019, have devoted fanbases who have followed them since The Upsides and Never Hungover Again, respectively.
According to a press release, The Wonder Years will be playing a career-spanning set in rooms across the country, with the tour set to stop in Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney, Wollongong, Hobart, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth. In addition to being joined by special guests Joyce Manor, Melbourne’s own Suzi will open proceedings at all shows. Check out all the dates and venues below.
The Wonder Years’ Dan Campbell said of the band’s long-awaited return, “We are absolutely ecstatic to be coming back to Australia early next year. It's been far too long, and we're extra excited that these are venue shows where we can play full and long sets for y'all.
“Also, to somehow make all of this even more incredible, we get to have Joyce Manor, one of our all-time favourite bands, and Suzi, who have quickly become one of our new favourites, on these shows with us. It's truly a dream tour in dream places, and we hope to see you there.”

In a live review of The Wonder Years’ 2016 show in Adelaide, The Music’s Will Oakeshott remarked that the best thing about the band is “how genuine they are with their music and their attitude.”
Oakeshott added, “No Closer To Heaven may be the title of The Wonder Years' fifth album, but South Australians may have got just that bit closer after this performance.”
