More The Rubens More The Rubens

Aussie alt-rockers The Rubens have pulled off an awesome accomplishment with their latest album Hoops, as it debuted in this week's ARIA Charts at #2 — their highest ever chart debut.

The boys from Menangle's 2012 self-titled album came in at #3, but their sophomore album has gone one better, landing just behind rap icon Dr Dre who takes out the top spot with his first album in 16 years, Compton.

The new-look top two spots dethrone US singer Meghan Trainor's Title from the #1 position which falls to #3, while country singer Luke Brian's fifth studio album Kill The Lights makes its debut this week at #4.

Holding the fifth position again this week is pop princess Taylor Swift with her acclaimed record 1989, which has stayed at the top end of the charts for an impressive 42 weeks.

Meanwhile, Sydney metalcore outfit Buried In Verona also debuted in the top 20 this week, taking out the #17 spot with their new album, Vultures Above, Lions Below, while Australian soprano Greta Bradman's My Hero comes in at #11 and veteran US metal band Fear Factory nab #15 on the charts with Genexus.

Over on the Singles Chart, Aussie pop singer Delta Goodrem scored the #1 position with her track, Wings which takes a huge jump up from last week after it came in at #26.

The top five remains unchanged from last week as US vocalist Adam Lambert holds second spot with Ghost Town, while The Weeknd's catchy hit song Can't Feel My Face maintains the #3 position.
