"We can’t wait to relight that fire and remind ourselves what a privilege it is to play for you," the band said.

Sydney band The Preatures are set to reunite and play their first show since 2019 (per setlist.fm) this month to celebrate the tenth anniversary of their debut album, Blue Planet Eyes.
Taking things back to the beginning, The Preatures will perform at The Lansdowne in Sydney—where they played their first-ever gig—and release a 10-year anniversary edition of their breakthrough album.
The rare, intimate show will take place at The Lansdowne on Tuesday, 10 December. Tickets will be available here from 12 pm AEDT tomorrow (3 December). You can also pre-order the Blue Planet Eyes 10th anniversary special edition vinyl here.
Released in 2014, Blue Planet Eyes debuted at #4 on the ARIA Charts and earned four ARIA nominations and a J Award nomination. The album tracked the alt-rockers’ meteoric rise to fame, taking them from clubs to huge venues, playing iconic venues and festivals at home like the Sydney Opera House and Splendour In The Grass, and international events like Glastonbury, Coachella, SXSW, and Bonnaroo.
The Preatures released a follow-up album, Girlhood, in 2017 and disbanded in 2021 after an epic decade of releasing music and touring.
Since their disbandment, singer Izzy Manfredi went solo, while Jack Moffitt, Thomas Champion, Luke Davison, and Gideon Bensen have started businesses and continue to play with other artists.

The Preatures' reunion also marks the reformation of their original line-up, including Bensen, who left the band in 2013. Whether the band stays together and announces more tour dates remains to be seen.
Explaining what’s gone into their hotly awaited reunion, the band said:
We dedicated our entire young lives to this group and to the music we made, falling in love with playing to crowds, however big and brash or small and sweaty. It was insane and we loved it all. Our decision to break up was never because of the music. Sometimes you really need to let go of everything to realise and appreciate what you have.
For us, it’s about recognising and letting go of mistakes, allowing adversity to strengthen us, and trusting our game. We don’t know exactly what’s going to happen, but the idea of a comeback has an almost mystical ability to capture our imagination in a cynical world, and we can’t wait to relight that fire and remind ourselves what a privilege it is to play for you.
