Taylor Swift Teases 'Reputation (Taylor's Version)'

A preview for Delicate (Taylor’s Version) has surfaced after the track received a spin on the new season of Amazon Prime Video’s The Summer I Turned Pretty. While Taylor Swift hasn’t announced a date for Reputation (Taylor’s Version) yet, the teaser video, which you can watch below, reveals that it’s in the works.

The Taylor’s Version project exists for Swift to reclaim the rights to her discography after the masters for her first six albums were sold to Shamrock Holdings in November 2020.

Swift has already re-recorded Speak Now, Fearless and Red, and only has Reputation, 1989 and her self-titled debut to go. Swift and her team maintain the rights over sync licensing and publishing opportunities for her re-recorded songs.

“I have recently begun re-recording my older music, and it has already proven to be both exciting and creatively fulfilling,” Swift wrote in November 2020, per Consequence Of Sound.

In a letter to Shamrock Holdings, she continued, “I know this will diminish the value of my old masters, but I hope you understand that this is my only way of regaining the sense of pride I once had when hearing songs from my first six albums and also allowing my fans to listen to those albums without feelings of guilt for benefiting Scooter [Braun, of Ithaca Holdings, who facilitated the deal].”

Swift surprise-announced the release date for Speak Now (Taylor's Version) on stage in early May. Breaking the news in Nashville, she guided her fans’ attention to a huge screen: "If you can direct your attention to that screen back there", Swift proclaimed as the date, 7 July, was revealed.

The Australian dates of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour will kick off on 16 February 2024 in Melbourne and 23 February 2024 in Sydney with special guest artist Sabrina Carpenter. 

Swift will perform three nights at Melbourne’s MCG and four shows at Sydney’s Accor Stadium and is poised to break records at both venues.

The Melbourne show on 18 February will mean that Swift is the first artist since Madonna in 1993 to achieve three (presumably sold out) nights at the 100,000-capacity stadium. In Sydney, on 26 February, the fourth show at the 83,000-capacity venue will be the first time an artist has performed four nights running.
