Tame ImpalaIt’s an indie rock music fan’s Christmas: members of four of the most successful groups – from Australia and abroad – have come together for a jam session we only hope will eventually surface in an official release.
Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, plus King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard multi-instrumentalist Ambrose Kenny-Smith, Pond’s Nick Allbrook, Jay Watson, and James Ireland, and members of the buzzy Brooklyn band Geese: Sam Revaz, Max Bassin and Emily Green, were recently in a recording studio in Perth.
A video of the dream collab was posted to social media by Geese’s Sam Revaz. While none of the bands have alluded to an official recording, the brief video you can watch below features bongos. You could say the musicians were bringing in the End of Summer…
As Consequence of Sound notes, it’s not all that surprising that the four musical acts jammed together in a studio, as they all connect.
Longtime touring members of Tame Impala also share music in Pond, while Pond’s Jay Watson frequently collaborates with members of King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard. Meanwhile, Geese opened for King Gizzard across the US in 2024.

A bunch of talented musicians jamming together could be just that, but if it ends up being something more, fans of all four musical acts will be very happy. The question is: what do you name this supergroup?
Check out footage of the collaboration below.
In other news surrounding the acts, Frontier Touring have been teasing an incoming Tame Impala Australian tour announcement, while Pond embarked on a regional run across the country last year, and in December, King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard took over venues along the East Coast with rock and orchestral shows.
Meanwhile, Geese were just in Australia for Laneway Festival and performed their first-ever headline shows in a few cities.
Reviewing their show at Sydney’s Metro Theatre, The Music’s Alasdair Belling declared, “What is clear right now is that Geese is Gen Z’s first great rock band, pushing the genre forward and performing at a standard that leaves its much older and more experienced peers looking almost pathetic by comparison.
“Geese is the story of guitar music right now, and 1200 Sydney-siders were lucky enough to see it up close. It’s unlikely they’ll get a vantage point like this ever again.”
