More Tame Impala More Tame Impala

Tame Impala might have just dropped a new record, but it’s a track from 2015 that has been taking Kevin Parker’s psych rock project to new heights in recent weeks.

The Less I Know The Better, taken from Tame Impala’s third studio album, Currents, has soared back into the ARIA Singles chart, placing #17 after its Hottest 100 Of The Decade win earlier this month.

Upon release, the single peaked at #66 on the Aussie charts, and its new placing marks the first time Tame Impala has had a single in the top 50 in Australia, despite topping the ARIA Albums chart twice.

Last month, Tame Impala’s new album The Slow Rush (our pick for Album Of The Week) debuted at #1, marking Parker’s second straight #1 Aussie album following 2015's Currents.

Tame Impala wasn’t the only local act to experience success on the ARIA charts across the weekend, with a handful of Aussie releases storming the Albums chart top 20, including Adam Brand’s Speed Of Life (#6), Ocean Grove’s Flip Phone Fantasy (#8), Funny Lumsden’s Fallow (#10) and Kingswood’s Juveniles (#14).
