There’s a Spice Girls announcement coming soon, with the five – yep, Posh Spice (Victoria Beckham) is involved – making plans via a group Whatsapp.
Speaking with The Sun, Mel B told the publication the iconic British girl group are planning something special that fans will love. If it’s any live shows, it’ll be the first time all five Spice Girls will share a stage since their performance at the 2012 London Olympics Closing Ceremony.
“My theory is that if I say it enough, it will happen. But actually, we are planning on releasing a statement,” Mel B said on Thursday (25 May).
She added, “What that is, I can't say right now because we're just finishing off perfecting what we're going to be doing together, all five of us, but it's going to be something that the fans are really going to love.”
When The Sun asked how they brought Victoria Beckham back on board, Mel B explained, “Well, it's not even about convincing her. I mean she dressed me and my mum for when I got my MBE, so we've kind of always been in contact.
“It’s not like none of us are speaking together, we've all got a group WhatsApp, but it's just about timing.

“She was really busy doing her fashion line and supporting David with his moves and his career and obviously she's got a bunch of kids so it's just about finding the right time. And we've managed to do that so there should be an announcement pretty soon.”
Earlier this year, the Spice Girls celebrated 25 years of the Stop music video by dropping a surprise alternate video.
The group - Mel B, Melanie C, Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, and Victoria Beckham, and producers Andy Watkins and Paul Wilson, aka Absolute, wrote Stop while filming the 1997 film, Spice World.
Last November, Spice Girls released Spiceworld 25, a celebratory release curated by the group featuring their favourite tracks and B-Sides, as well as chosen artifacts from the Virgin Records archive.
“The Spiceworld era was such a fun time for us,” the band said in a statement (per NME). “We’d just had a number one album with Spice, we were travelling all over the world and meeting our amazing fans, we released our second album AND we had our very own movie! Who would’ve thought it? It’s crazy to think that 25 years have passed.”
