“We’re off to Austin next month, SO WE’RE HAVING A BIG BLOODY PARTY THIS WEEKEND”.
Perth act Sly Withers are holding a fundraising event at the Indian Ocean Hotel this Friday, the 7th of February, and Saturday, the 8th of February, as they pack up to bring their sound to the USA for the SXSW music festival and industry conference event in Austin, Texas.
This weekend at the Indi Bar, the band will perform an acoustic set alongside local support acts such as Siobhan Cotchin, The Kickons, Sunsick, Lazor Gator, About Yesterday, and Blush Baby Blush.
Upon the purchase of a ticket, you also get a song request!
“$20 tickets, free beer, hangs, the best line-ups in the west, all at the Indian Ocean Hotel this weekend, so we can afford to go on a big-ass plane to the US next month and shake hands with Steve Austin or something,” the band wrote.
Tickets are on sale now for February 7th & 8th; click here for more information.

Following their self-titled debut album in 2016, their hit song Closer gained over two million streams on Spotify, preceding the release of two more albums, Gardens and Overgrown, in the following years.
Sly Withers have already kick-started 2025 with their own festival Endless Slymer, bringing their sonic sound to Fremantle and Bunbury in January, where they were supported by Noah Dillon, The Love Junkies, Ghost Care and more.
This May, they’ll head to the UK to perform at The Great Escape festival—a similar event to SXSW and Brisbane’s own BIGSOUND—along with fellow Aussies Kita Alexander, Armlock, Nick Ward, Miss Kaninna, and many more.
After making an appearance at BIGSOUND in 2024 and supporting Stand Atlantic on their national tour, Sly Withers continue to solidify their place as a promising Aussie act.
