“Although not a household name, Sean Higgins was a great songwriter who contributed significantly to the heritage of Australian music.”
Esteemed songwriter and frequent collaborator to Aus music legends Australian Crawl, guitarist Sean Higgins has passed away aged 68.
A close personal friend of late Aussie Crawl guitarist and vocalist Guy McDonough, Higgins helped write such iconic tunes as Things Don't Seem and Downhearted, as well as performing on McDonough's 1985 solo release My Place.
The news was confirmed online by industry executive Rob Walker, who shared the update via social media.
“Although not a household name, Sean Higgins was a great songwriter who contributed significantly to the heritage of Australian music,” Walker wrote.
"Fans will see song credits elsewhere such as the McDonough Brothers Lost and Found album rerelease by UMGA earlier this year as part of the Australian Crawl catalogue of recorded works.”
Fellow Aussie Crawl member and brother of Guy - Bill McDonough - also paid his respects online.
