Redfern Now picks up plenty of praise at this year's awards.
The winners of the 2013 Screen Music Awards were announced at a ceremony in Sydney this evening, with renowned indie rocker David McCormack and collaborator Antony Partos scooping up two awards for their work on the Redfern Now program.
The duo picked up the award for Best Music for a Television Series or Serial for Redfern Now – Episode 4: Stand Up as well as the prize for Best Original Song Composed for the Screen for their song Lonely Child from that same show.
Other winners on the night included composer Caitlin Yeo, who won Feature Film Score Of The Year for her work on The Rocket, Dale Cornelius' theme to The Doctor Blake Mysteries picked up the prize for Best Television Theme, Catch Perfect by Jonathan Dreyfus won Best Music for a Short Film while Tropfest founder John Polson took out the International Achievement Award.
