Tassie's alternative metal lads, Save The Clock Tower, have released their first new song in what feels like a long while.
Originally premiering over at Hysteria Mag, you can check out 'The Familiar Decay' below. This new track combines many elements of metal, pop and rock to create a defining sound, one they've had for a while now. I'm really enjoying the vibes on this one myself.
'The Familiar Decay' comes off the back of the band's upcoming record,' The Familiar // The Decay', which is out on July 1st. Pre-orders for the record are live as of today.
Produced by Andreas Magnusson (who apparently made The Black Dahlia Murder, Born of Osiris, among others, sound sick), the record will be globally released through Bullet Tooth Records. In case you missed it, the first sample we saw from this album was 'White Cross'.
Both of these new songs is the first new batch of material from the group since the tragic passing of bassist, Alex Mcnulty, last May.
Vocalist Luke Vaessen said this about releasing their new effort:

"It's an amazing feeling to be bringing out a record we are all 100% happy with. The Familiar//The Decay isn't just a collection of songs pushed together, it's a completely story driven album played out over two acts. It is something that we feel is an experience."
Also, when scrolling back through the Launceston band's Facebook page, there have been various teasing videos been posted, with titles like 'Kensington Ave' and 'Breathing For Beasts'. Song names, perhaps? Well, only time will tell.
