“I am so excited to be a part of this iconic British legacy."
The title song surrounding any 007 film always yields high interest and the honours for this year’s Spectre goes to British singer-songwriter Sam Smith.
The Spectre theme song is titled Writing’s On The Wall, and it has been confirmed that Smith has finished recording the track, which he co-wrote alongside Jimmy Napes.
The new single will drop via Capitol on September 25, prior to the film’s release on November 12.

Spectre is the 24th James Bond film and fourth featuring Daniel Craig, and Smith’s song will be the first for the franchise done by a solo male artist since 1965.
Smith said the opportunity was a career highlight.
“I am honoured to finally announce that I will be singing the next Bond theme song,” he said.
“I am so excited to be a part of this iconic British legacy and join an incredible line up of some of my biggest musical inspirations. I hope you all enjoy the song as much as I enjoyed making it.”
Adele sung the theme for the previous film, Skyfall.
