Up and coming R&B star Tinashe has announced her first tour of Australia.

The singer-songwriter, best known for her breakout 2014 single 2 On, will play three shows along the east coast this February, hitting up The Triffid in Brisbane, Sydney's Metro Theatre and The Hi-Fi in Melbourne.

Tickets for the dates go on sale this Monday 3 November, with details in theGuide and The Music App.

The 21 year-old artist's debut studio album Aquarius is out now. The record is a mix of alternative and mainstream R&B with electro overtones and has seen the singer compared to everyone from veteran Janet Jackson to recent urban breakout artist Jhene Aiko.
