Early bird tickets already sold out

Victoria's annual Queenscliff Music Festival has announced that its 2014 event will boast such A-list names as The Jezabels, Xavier Rudd, The Waifs, Kasey Chambers and The Church.

Being held from November 28-30 this year, the festival will also host celebrated comic musos Tripod along with Eddie Perfect performing as Perfect Tripod, Grammy-nominated experimental soul outfit Hiatus Kaiyote, the acclaimed blues pop strains of D.D Dumbo, as well as earlier teaser announcements Stonefield and The Bombay Royale, who performed at this past weekend's QMF Emerging Artist Grant Fundraiser.

More artists will be announced in the coming weeks and months. While the festival remains dedicated to celebrating and promoting home-grown music, it nonetheless has room for some choice international selections as well.

Said festival director – and Queenscliff native – Andrew Orvis: “We are extremely proud to present the best in Australian music each year, but in 2014 we've hand-picked  a few international acts to come and add a dash of international flavour to the Queenscliff experience.”

Those acts will also be announced in due course.

The buzz is running high for this year's QMF, with early bird tickets already having sold out, breaking the event's previous records for purchase rates. With four announcements left to come before the festival kicks off in November, you'd be wise to get cracking sooner rather than later, lest you miss out entirely.

A three-day pass will set you back a perfectly reasonable $200, with VIP Silver ($300) and Gold ($400) packages also available. Discounts are available for youths (from $25 for a Friday pass to $80 for the full three days). See the QMF website for a complete list of prices.

General release tickets are on sale now. Single-day passes will be available from July 1.
