A week after announcing their free performance at next year’s Adelaide Festival, Pulp have revealed long-awaited additional tour dates across the country.

Starting the run in New Zealand, the Common People rockers will perform at Auckland’s Spark Arena on Saturday, 21 February.

The Australian dates begin at Brisbane’s Riverstage on Tuesday, 24 February, followed by Adelaide Festival on Friday, 27 February, Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Tuesday, 3 March, and conclude with two nights at the Sydney Opera House Forecourt on Friday, 6 March, and Saturday, 7 March.

The tour marks Pulp’s first tour of Australia in 13 years.

Fans signed up to the band’s website can access pre-sale tickets at 9 am local time this Wednesday (5 November). Next, the Handsome Tours and Spotify pre-sales will be available this Thursday, 6 November, at 9 am local time ahead of the general sale on Friday, 7 November, at 9 am local time.

Pulp are touring in support of their critically acclaimed new album, More, released earlier this year. The band’s eighth album spawned the singles Spike Island and Got To Have Love and was recorded last year with producer James Ford.

More was shortlisted for this year’s Mercury Prize music award and marks the group’s first album since reuniting for the second time in 2023 and their first album since 2001’s We Love Life. Frontman Jarvis Cocker recently appeared on Take 5 with Zan Rowe – check out his essential songs here.

“The day an album is released to the public is a very special day,” Cocker said. “The music changes from being something owned only by the band to something that can be owned by anyone - it can become part of people’s lives. It’s magic.”
