First time ever show announced.
Aussie fans of iconic '80s outfit Culture Club were given a reason to celebrate last week when it was announced the band would be making their way Down Under for a string of shows for the first time in over 15 years and the hype is far from over, as a new show has been added onto the massive tour this June.
For the first time ever, the London-founded group will perform in Adelaide where they will now kick off the national tour at Adelaide Entertainment Centre on 6 June.
Back in 1984 when Culture Club toured the country, Adelaide was not included on the tour schedule due to the lack of a suitable venue, but thanks to beloved music critic Molly Meldrum and radio station 5AD, a campaign by thousands of local fans got the attention of the band who jumped on a plane to make an appearance and performed an acapella set on the now-demolished overpass in Rundle Mall in front of 25,000 fans.
The return to Adelaide will mark Culture Club's first-ever headline show.
