More Parkway Drive More Parkway Drive

Parkway Drive have officially pushed back their Australian headline tour scheduled for next month to 2021.

The Byron Bay metalcore heavyweights will now tour the country starting next July with special guests Hatebreed and Every Time I Die.

"Given the current situation with Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the various restrictions State and Federal Governments have put in place, it is literally impossible for the tour to go on in June 2020," the band said in a statement.

"We have rescheduled the shows for July 2021 and are stoked that both Hatebreed and Every Time I Die will still be joining us then.

"Thank you for your patience in these testing times and we promise it will be worth the wait when this tour gets back up and running next year."

During a recent appearance on The Green Room with Neil Griffiths podcast, frontman Winston McCall said Parkway Drive were trying to be "realistic" about the arena tour going ahead next month.

"I highly doubt people will be going in large gatherings until there's a vaccine out because no one is gonna risk it," McCall told host Neil Griffiths in April.

"Who the hell would want to risk that? We sure wouldn't.

"Either way, we're trying to be realistic with what we do. We don't like cancelling things so we're just gonna re-book... for down the track."
