“It will be The Wiggles as you remember and love them, but we’ll all have a bit more grey hair… and there’s a bar."
'90s kids across the country have just been treated with the news of a lifetime, with the announcement that Jeff, Murray, Greg and Anthony (AKA the OG Wiggles) will be hitting the road for a massive 30th anniversary tour next year.
The tour will see the group heading out to Darwin, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide, celebrating three decades of their original formation. They'll also be joined onstage by some very special support acts including Polish Club and DZ Deathrays - plus more to be announced.
Purple Wiggle Jeff Fatt said of the announcement, “all of those children who loved The Wiggles in the 90s are now adults who love the nostalgia and fun from that time in their lives. This night is for the grown-ups and is a chance to bring back some of that genuine, high-spirited liveliness again. We can’t wait to relive those childhood memories and dance the night away to some of the favourite old-school tunes.”
Red Wiggle Murray Cook added “It will be The Wiggles as you remember and love them, but we’ll all have a bit more grey hair… and there’s a bar. We’ll be playing all your favourite songs, and put on a show you won’t forget.”
The iconic yellow skivvy (which has seen the greatest number of personnel changes over the years) will be heading back to the one and only Greg Page who said the band is “Looking forward to getting back on stage with the OG Wiggles - we always have a great time together, and can’t wait to see the “kids” reliving their childhood. I may have to pull back a bit on the dancing this time around though!”
In further Wiggles news, that same yellow skivvy is set to change hands yet again, with the announcement that Emma Watkins will be leaving the group after 11 years performing.

"Like many people around the world, the pandemic has given me time to reflect on what is important in life. For me, that means spending more time at home, something that I didn’t realise I was missing out on being away eight months of the year on tour, but something that I have really cherished over the last 18 months," she said of the announcement.
“I am also really looking forward to devoting more time and energy on completing my PhD that incorporates my ongoing passion for sign language, dance and film editing, and to having more time to work with the Deaf community."
Watkins continued “I am eternally grateful to The Wiggles for giving me the amazing opportunity to be the first female Wiggle, a role that I have loved and one that has brought me so much joy and an abundance of bowtiful memories that I will treasure forever.
"As The Wiggles continue to evolve and someone new now steps into the yellow skivvy, I look forward to seeing children and families embrace them, just as I was when I began. I wish The Wiggles much continued success as they continue to delight children all over the world.”
Watkins will hand over the reigns to newcomer Tsehay Hawkins at the end of the year, who will step in at the main helm for the Fruit Salad TV Big Show arena tour - which will also be touring throughout the country in 2022.
