Scottish indie rock band The View went on hiatus in December 2017, and thrilled fans when they returned with some comeback gigs, starting last year.

Fans weren’t so happy, however, when bandmates Kyle Falconer (lead vocalist) and bassist Kieren Webster got into a brawl mid-set during the group’s Manchester gig on Wednesday (10 May) night.

What led to the fight is uncertain, but what can be seen in the footage below is that things got nasty.

NME reports that tensions grew between the pair during the show at the Deaf Institute, before fan-captured footage showed Falconer dropping off his guitar, striding towards Webster and yelling, “I’ll fucking kill you!” and throwing a punch. It was also Webster’s birthday.

The View were expected to perform in London the following night, but the gig was postponed until the members “resolve the situation”.

A statement from the band read, “Unfortunately we are having to postpone tonight's London show.

The View formed in 2005. They’re best known for their 2007 hit, Same Jeans, which rose to #3 on the UK Singles Chart and #1 in their native Scotland. Same Jeans appears on the band’s January 2007 debut album, Hats Off To The Buskers, which hit #1 in Scotland and in the UK.

In 2015, the band released their fifth album, Ropewalk, and this August, they’ll drop their newest album and sixth in their discography, Exorcism Of Youth. The View are self-proclaimed as "three pals in a band from Dryburgh".
