OasisThe highly anticipated, long-teased documentary film about Oasis’ biblical Live ’25 reunion tour is on its way, with a release date confirmed.
The currently untitled film tracks the band’s journey back to stages across the globe. Set to be released by magna studios, Sony Music Vision and Disney, a limited theatrical release will roll out on IMAX screens and other cinemas on Friday, 11 September.
Following the cinema sessions, the documentary will stream exclusively on Disney+ internationally—that release date hasn’t yet been announced.
According to NME, the documentary film will follow Liam and Noel Gallagher’s return to the stage and feature exclusive footage from rehearsals, backstage antics, onstage access, and the first joint interviews with the brothers in more than 25 years. The film will also reflect on the impact of the Live ’25 tour and how it touched generations of fans.
Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight has created the documentary film alongside directors Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace (Meet Me In The Bathroom). Producers attached to the project include Sam Bridger (Lewis Capaldi: How I’m Feeling Now) and Guy Heeley (Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man).

Executive producers are Tom Mackay, Kate Shepherd, Tim O’Shea, Krista Wegener, Marisa Clifford, and Isabel Davis, Variety reports, while a star-studded roster of additional behind-the-scenes figures is attached to the project.
Oscar-winning sound mixers James Mather (Top Gun: Maverick) and Tarn Willers (The Zone Of Interest) have worked on the documentary alongside cinematographer Haris Zambarloukos (Belfast).
In a statement, Steven Knight said of the project, “I genuinely cannot wait for the world to see this film. I believe it captures the spirit and emotion of a global cultural moment and does justice to the wit and genius of two exceptional people.
“I wanted to tell the story of the brothers and the band, but just as important, the story of the fans whose lives the music has touched and sometimes changed forever. It is also the story of how music and songwriting can unite generations, cultures, countries and in a time of spite and division, give us all some reason to hope.”
Oasis returned to Australia in October and November 2025. The tour was met with phenomenal demand, with additional shows announced in Melbourne and Sydney. The shows marked the first time that Oasis had performed in Australia in 19 years.
Upon the band’s long-awaited return to Australia, The Music’s Christopher Lewis declared, “This wasn’t late-era Oasis desperately trying to grasp the remaining sand in their hands and watching it slowly slip through their fingers. This was an imperious band revisiting their legacy.”
