Band not playing shows soon either
Iconic Brit-pop band Blur, who we almost saw in Australia earlier this year, will not be touring or releasing a new album anytime soon according to frontman Damon Albarn.
Blur reformed in 2008 to much fanfare and they were booked to perform at the Big Day Out in January before communication with the two parties broke down and the band pulled out.
In an interview with Rolling Stone ahead of his debut solo album Albarn, who is also the brains behind Gorillaz, said that they won't be heading back out on the road after finishing up their world tour in Japan this January.
“I just haven't got the time,” he said. “We put in a good shift last year and played a lot of gigs around the world. Everyone's off doing other stuff at the moment.”

On a new album Albarn admitted that “There is material. But I can't foresee us in the near future being in a position to finish it. We're just all doing other stuff.”
He added, “It's a big part of my life. I'll never abandon the spirit of it ever. It's kind of in me.”
Albarn's debut solo album Everyday Robots is expected out late April.
