Long running series to return
Since the inception of the Playstation 4 and Xbox One, video game diehards have been pining for the return of the popular Tony Hawk skateboarding video game franchise.
And now, fans can pine no more as Gameinformer have reported that Activision and developers Robomodo and Disruptive Games have officially announced the latest game in the series, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5.
The new instalment will make a return to its glory days (hinted in the name), highlighted by solo missions and co-op play.
It will be released on the PS4 and Xbox One consoles by the end of the year, followed by releases on the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Pro Skater 5 will be the first game in the franchise to be released since 2007 and it will also mark the tenth in the series.
As well as being known as the coolest games around, the Tony Hawk series were also renowned for their kick arse soundtracks.
Some of the acts featured on the games throughout the years have included Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against The Machine, Millencolin, Goldfinger, The Ramones, Motorhead and Pro Skater 3 released in 2001 even included Aussie punk band, Bodyjar's hit song Not The Same.
