A rising K-pop festival is heading to Melbourne in early 2026.

The new event is presented by APPLEWOOD, one of the most trusted global concert promoters in Asia. The festival, 안녕, MELBOURNE (“Hello Melbourne”), will be hosted at Flemington Racecourse on Saturday, 14 March.

Hello Melbourne will be produced by the team behind major Australian music festivals, such as Wildlands and Beyond The Valley. APPLEWOOD will be partnering with Australia’s Untitled Group to make the new festival a reality.

APPLEWOOD has presented concert tours featuring some of the most prominent K-pop artists in the world, including BLACKPINK, SEVENTEEN, ENHYPEN, BAEKHYUN, LE SSERAFIM, GFRIEND, and G-DRAGON.

More information about the inaugural event, including the line-up, will be announced this Friday, 12 December, at 12 pm AEDT. Head to the APPLEWOOD website to find out more about its events.

Since its launch in 2013, APPLEWOOD has become a globally renowned entertainment leader, having produced over 120 concerts and amassed more than 750,000 attendees across 18 countries.

Their portfolio includes massive events, such as BLACKPINK’s 2019 World Tour, which featured six sold-out arena shows in Bangkok and a stadium-scale production broadcast to millions of fans worldwide.

APPLEWOOD has already developed a strong international footprint in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Now, it’s Australia’s turn.

As The Music’s Christie Eliezer recently reported, Australia has a live thirst for K-pop, with a 600% increase in Asian Pop shows and a 275% surge in the number of artists between 2015 and 2024. A complete 100% of those surveyed wanted to see more concerts.

K-pop superstars such as BTS, BLACKPINK and TWICE have often toured to huge audiences in arenas. In the last two years, TWICE and Stray Kids moved up in Australia from arenas to stadiums – a significant milestone for both.
