Neil Young ProfileThe much anticipated return to Australian shores of one of the world's great rock bands, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, has been confirmed this morning, with the band set to play seven dates across the country in March of 2013.
Young hasn't brought his Crazy Horse cronies to Australia since 2003 when they were in the country on the back of that year's Greendale record. These shows will focus on the band's recently released chunk of psych rock brilliance, Psychedelic Pill, a sprwaling hour-and-a-half of folk-tinged rock'n'roll mayhem that proved age has far from wearied their adventurous musical spirit. It's the second LP the band has released this year, with their Americana showing some wild interpreations of classic, mainly traditional songs.
While the new record will be given attention, we've been assured that Young's enormous catalogue of hits will get a good run through as well. Young was last here (sans Crazy Horse) as a part of the 2009 Big Day Out tour.
