The series will provide regular opportunities for back-and-forth with industry experts
The freshly rebranded Music Australia has announced its plans to launch an occasional series of speeches, seminars, panels, roundtables canvassing a broad range of music-based topics under the moniker Music Talks.
The first such event will be held on Wednesday, October 15, at Erskineville Town Hall, and will see venerated, veteran conductor Richard Gill OAM host Music In The Classroom. His talk, as you might have guessed from the title, will discuss techniques designed to enrich the teaching of music in the classroom and wider community. The talk runs for two hours, from 4pm-6pm, and costs an easy $20, including refreshments. The session is designed to provide teachers and group leaders with practical techniques that are easily applicable in a classroom and community session, and will entail a Q&A.
Consequent Music Talks sessions will all feature expert presenters and speakers tackling subjects pertinent to a particular professional audience. All sessions are free to Music Australia members.
