On a special night in March 2023, Mo'Ju will blend their storytelling prowess with the incredible Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
Award-winning artist and storyteller Mo'Ju will lend their powerful RnB vocals for one special night in collaboration with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra at Hamer Hall on Friday, 17 March 2023.
Under the baton of Nicolas Buc, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra will lay the bed for Mo'Ju to shine, performing a selection of the singer's distinctive and electrifying music from their upcoming fourth studio LP, including first single, Change Has To Come.
Inspired by their culture, including the Wiradjuri people and their Filipino ancestry, Mo'Ju's music is highly personal and speaks of generational injustice that pulls at the heartstrings. Their latest single, Change Has To Come, is a powerful plea for political change and for all people to come together as a united front.
A keen supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community, the singer/songwriter also writes about their own experiences within those spaces and has won the coveted crown of Rainbow Champion in conjunction with WorldPride for their outstanding contribution to the Australian LGBTQIA+ community and culture. They will perform at the Opera House for Sydney World Pride in February before heading to Melbourne for this one-night-only special event.
Nicolas Buc, who will guide the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra through Mo'Ju's excellent catalogue, which has been arranged by the brilliant Jamie Messenger, has had over twenty years of experience working on a range of different projects from score compositions to leading world renowned orchestras.

His experience and passion for blending different genres will make him the perfect fit to bring Messenger's arrangements to life.
