Aussie Music Industry Veteran Michael Parisi Launches New Venture With Universal Music

Michael Parisi Management has today announced the launch of its new division, Left Hand Publishing, in partnership with Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG).

The new venture will focus on "representing a roster of some of the most talented songwriters that will deliver breakthrough songs on a national and international level".

“I’ve always dreamt of having my own publishing company," Parisi said.

"I’ve been developing acts for years and feel that I now have the experience to extend my expertise beyond management advice. I’m happy to be partnering up with [UMPG President, Australia and Asia Pacific Region Andrew Jenkins and UMPG Creative Vice President Arwen Hunt] and the team at Universal Music Publishing to uncover fresh and exciting new writers and producers."

Jenkins added, "Michael is a great Australian music man and I’ve wanted to work more closely with him since we first met, so I couldn’t be happier.

"Left Hand Publishing will be an exciting and innovative creative presence in the market and a launchpad for songwriters with global ambitions. UMPG looks forward to providing the new division with worldwide support."

Left Hand Publishing has also revealed its first signing - in demand songwriter Andy Hopkins.

“Everyone at UMPG and Left Hand is super talented and hard-working, and I’m very excited to be the joint ventures’ first signing," Hopkins said.

"The combination of a small, agile, and driven team, coupled with one of the worlds biggest music publishers, is truly a songwriters dream."

To coincide with the new publishing sector, Michael Parisi Management has today also announced the promotion of Charlotte Ried who will now act as General Manager of Right Hand Management, a new division of of the company that represents the likes of Vera Blue and Polish Club.
