Extensive investigations into drug supply have taken place since the November event
A man has been charged in relation to supplying drugs at last year's Harbourlife festival in Sydney.
A report from the NSW Police has revealed that a man was charged this past weekend after extensive investigations took place in the months after the November festival. The 19-year-old male is alleged to have been found in possession of a large amount of drugs last Saturday, 7 Feb, which led to police searching his Willoughby home, where more prohibited substances were found. He has been charged with three counts of supplying prohibited drugs, as well as possession and will appear court on Wednesday, 25 Mar.
19-year-old North Shore woman Georgina Bartter died at Harbourlife after a suspected overdose after ingesting "one and a half" pills. 78 punters were also arrested at the event over drug-related offences.
There has been no word from NSW Police as to whether this weekend's arrest is linked directly to Bartter's death, though Fairfax are reporting the police "will allege a 19-year-old man sold pills known as 'purple speakers' to a third party who then sold on the drugs" to Bartter.
