With their latest album, 'Butterfly 3000'.
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have set another chart record this week.
The Melbourne group released their 18th studio album last week, dubbed Butterfly 3000, which has now debuted at #1 on the ARIA Vinyl chart.
The album is now their sixth release to land in the top spot on the chart, giving them a further jump on their already existing record as the artists with the most #1s on the ARIA Vinyl Chart.
Since the chart's launch in April 2019, the group have seen both new releases, live and vinyl reissues land in the top spot, including 2021's LW, 2020's KG and Chunky Shrapnel live album, 2019's Fishing For Fishies and Infest The Rat's Nest,
In addition to its success on the Vinyl Chart, the album has also debuted #2 on the ARIA Albums Chart. This gives the band their 13th Top Ten album, following on from LW at #4 in May this year.
