"We can’t bloody wait to get out there and share what’s been brewing in the Karnivool riff pot," teased frontman Ian Kenny.

Karnivool have just announced a major tour of Australia and shared a tasty teaser about their long-awaited new music.
In case you missed it, the Perth progressive metal band returned to the studio in December. Whatever comes next will follow the release of their 2021 single All It Takes, which came eight years after their last album, 2013’s Asymmetry.
Last February, drummer Steve Judd sparked fan curiosity and conversation by sharing a photo of his setup, tagging drum companies Zildjian, Remo, Pearl Drums, and Vic Firth.
In the caption, Judd tagged producer Forrester Savell, who produced the Karnivool albums Themata (2005) and Sound Awake (2009). In addition to his Karnivool credits, Savell has worked with Aussie progressive metal and metalcore legends Sunk Loto, Make Them Suffer, The Omnific, Twelve Foot Ninja, and many more.
Now, it seems, those trips to the studio have amounted to new music.
According to a press release, Karnivool have been in a Perth studio for “the better part of five months.” Across the 13 shows on their upcoming Ad Complementum Australian tour, the band will showcase “new material, road-tested for the first time,” while older songs will be “bent into new shapes.”
