Kanye West Is Pissed At Adidas Over Unapproved 'Yeezy Day'

Kanye West has launched a verbal attack on Adidas over what he claims is an unapproved 'Yeezy Day' promotion. 

Kanye made his feelings on the recent Adidas 'Yeezy Day' promotion known via a lengthy Instagram direct message to Complex. Kanye's message sees him call out the company for progressing with the 'Yeezy Day' promotion, without his permission or participation. He also lashes out at them for not including him in decisions on colourways, employee hires and style re-issues. He then claims that Adidas sabotaged his collaborative works with Gap and Balenciaga. 

Kanye's latest beef with Adidas, who produces the signature 'Yeezy' line of shoes, follows a recent outburst from the rapper where he accused them of ripping off the idea for their 'Adilette 22' slides calling them "a fake Yeezy made by Adidas themselves.” In that now deleted outburst on social media, Kanye ripped into Adidas CEO Kasper Rørsted writing

 “THIS IS YE driving down the same street Kobe passed on,” “Maybe I feel that Mamba spirit right now To Kasper I’m not standing for this blatant copying no more To all sneaker culture To every ball player rapper or even if you work at the store This is for everyone who wants to express themselves but feel they can’t cause they’ll lose their contract or be called crazy Bravery is not being afraid Bravery is overcoming your fear for your truth This Ye with the blue paint on my face These shoes represent the disrespect that people in power have to the talent This shoe is a fake Yeezy made by Adidas themselves I’m not talking to DC about this either Kasper come talk to me Happy Monday”

The Yeezy Day saga is just the latest in a long line of controversies that Kanye has been involved with this year. The superstar made headlines for his negative public remarks about his former wife Kim Kardashian at the BET awards in June, withdrew from a Coachella headline slot days out from the event and even got sued by a pastor for an allegedly unapproved sample on his latest record Donda.
