"It's a real bugger to have to change pace and reschedule."
After dealing with COVID setbacks, Jungle Love Festival has now suffered another blow, with organisers forced to reschedule next month's event due to “significant flooding and damage” to the event site and in the Gympie and Fraser Coast regions.
The boutique event was set to take over Gootchie from April 29 – May 1 with a line-up that included King Stingray, Budjerah, RVG and stacks more, but will now happen from September 2 – 4, with the festival making a new line-up announcement in the coming months.
"It’s unfortunately now not possible to hold the festival at the Gootchie site safely as we originally planned,” Festival Director Raymond Williams said.
"We were so looking forward to seeing our vision come to life next month, and it's a real bugger to have to change pace and reschedule.
“Thankfully, we're already experienced in dealing with setbacks like these since the pandemic started.
“The silver lining is we now have more time to create an even more immersive wonderland that will be safe and accessible for all.
