Josh Pyke is hitting the road this November to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his debut EP release, Feeding The Wolves.
The Feeding The Wolves and Other Stories tour will see Pyke perform songs from the EP in an intimate, stripped-back fashion and recall the stories from that early period in his career.
Beginning the tour at Sydney’s City Recital Hall on Saturday, 1 November, the run continues at Brisbane’s Princess Theatre on Thursday, 6 November, Melbourne Recital Centre on Friday, 7 November, Adelaide’s The Gov on Friday, 14 November, and concludes at The Rechabite, Perth, on Saturday, 15 November.
Frontier Members can access pre-sale tickets from Monday, 23 June, at 1 pm local time ahead of the general sale opening on Wednesday, 25 June, at 3 pm local time. You can find more ticketing information on the Frontier Touring website.
In addition to celebrating the EP with a national tour, Feeding The Wolves will be released on vinyl for the first time this October, with Pyke set to sign all copies. The record is available to pre-order now and will be released via Mushroom Music on Friday, 24 October. Pre-order your copy here.
Upon its release in November 2005, Feeding The Wolves landed on the ARIA Charts and saw Pyke nominated for Best Pop Release at the 2006 ARIA Awards. A life-changing release for Pyke, here’s what he had to say about that time in his life:

21 years ago, I was working in a record store, chipping away at demos for a solo project, and dreaming of being a full-time musician. One year later I signed with Ivy League records, released Feeding the Wolves, and my entire life changed.
I remember playing the Sydney leg of the Big Day Out in 2005 and seeing the crowd trickle in during my set until it was at capacity by the end. The same day ‘Middle of the Hill’ entered the Hottest 100 at number 19, and I pretty much hit the road touring and never stopped.
FTW was nominated for an ARIA that same year, and suddenly I was sitting at a table pinching myself, surrounded by artists who’s records I’d been selling at the store the year before. I was signed to Island records in the UK and Europe and started heading back and forth across the world touring in the UK, mixing records in New York and playing festivals like Glastonbury.
It was a wild time, and I feel like it’s only now that I can reflect on it with a bit of distance. This 20-year period has been the craziest whirlwind and the biggest adventure I could have ever imagined. I can’t wait to play the songs and tell the stories that kicked that adventure off to celebrate a career that I’m immensely grateful for, and incredibly proud of.
