A new music show highlighting Australian music has launched on YouTube, hosted by Jane Gazzo.

Action Time Vision is a 10-to-15-minute weekly YouTube series that’s all about showcasing Australian artists. The episodes feature artist interviews, gig reviews, personal recommendations from Gazzo, and a curated gig guide for Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth. In the first episode, Gazzo interviews Melbourne singer-songwriter Queenie.

Having hosted the beloved TV show Recovery (ABC), as well as The Sound (ABC), Play Loud (BBC), and The Metal Hammer Awards (ITV), Gazzo is a great host whose music knowledge and passion are always welcome.

The new series has been produced by Jess Middleton and Josie De Souza Reay, two media professionals who grew up enjoying the likes of rage, Recovery, and Channel [V]. De Souza Reay is a media production specialist, while Middleton is a DJ and media production professional.

The Action Time Vision team said of the launch of the series, “And we have launched! Thanks so much for being here for our very first episode! We love that you’re here with us. Episode 1 features an interview with the wonderful @killqueenie. The YouTube link is in our linktree. Let us know what you think in the comments!”

The show’s vision? The Action Time Vision team aims to help young people discover Australian music by showcasing emerging and established artists. But the biggest goal is bringing the thrill of live music to viewers’ phones and computers by taking them to gigs.

“ATV emphasises the importance of seeing music live, capturing the energy, atmosphere, and community that can only be felt in person,” a statement from the Action Time Vision team reads.
“Through this, ATV hopes to inspire a new generation to actively participate in Australia’s music scene.”

Jane Gazzo recently released her new book, I Hear Motion. It takes readers on a terrific trip back to the ‘80s, featuring the bans she grew up loving. You can check out The Music’s feature on the book here.
