The stalwart outfit will knock over a run of five shows Down Under in March
Long-serving Irish indie-rockers Ash have announced their intention to return to Aussie shores for a handful of headline shows early next year, highlighting material from their sixth studio full-length, Kablammo.
The last time they were in town, the band were performing their seminal 1996 album, 1977, in full; in fact, Kablammo marks Ash's first new work in eight years, breaking a long-held promise from the performers that 2007's Twilight Of The Innocents would be their last release.
Not that we're complaining, of course — Aussie fans stand to benefit from the band's return to activity from Friday 11 March, when they kick off their local run at Melbourne's Corner Hotel. From there, Ash will hit Sydney's Max Watt's on Saturday 12 March, The Triffid, Brisbane, on Wednesday 16 March, The Gov, Adelaide, on Friday 18 March, and pull up stumps in Perth, where the play at The Rosemount on Saturday 19 March.
Tickets for all shos will go on sale from 9am tomorrow, 9 December, via Metropolis Touring.
