Event takes place next month!
One of Bluesfest's stalwart features, Boomerang Festival, has been unsuccessful in all government funding and must raise $200,000 before April to return to the beloved Byron Bay music festival and to assist, organisers have announced a series of events to help raise some much-needed funds.
The next event, the Boomerang Festival & Portraits Photography Exhibition, will come alive at Lismore's Photo Fox Den on 9 November.
Hosted and curated by Ben Knight and Jo-Anne Driessens, the exhibition will showcase some of the best shots and imagery from Boomerang at Bluesfest this past April.
As well as Knight and Driessens, other renowned photographers who have donated their works for the event include Natalie Grono, Tao Jones, Kirra Pendergast, Orlando Sydney, and Joseph Mayers.

"Documenting community at such significant events such as the Boomerang Festival provides a valuable visual dialogue that can be understood and shared in an International capacity, and more importantly our immediate communities," Driessens said.
"This type of documenting is second nature to me and I am honoured to be able to provide the power of the image for such an important cause."
The event is just one of many in support of the Boomerang Presents Series which aims to give a platform for shared stories and cultural exchange using different art forms such as music and art.
"My main aim is to increase a sense of curiosity and get members of the community to find their own journey of discovery through imagery," Knight adds.
"The photographs will give local people an opportunity to demonstrate their connections to country and why it is important. The land on which everyone walks is sacred in so many ways and we should all celebrate and respect the men, women and children that were here first."
Acclaimed roots artist Pat Tierney is set to perform on launch night, while a silent auction will also be held on the same night, with all proceeds going towards Boomerang Festival.
The exhibition will run until 20 November. For details on tickets, click here.
