In Canberra, the festival is teaming up again with Canberra University.
In the words of co-promoter Stephen Halpin, "Groovin The Moo has always put considerable significance in engaging in various community programs around the country."
The short and sweet of which is that when GTM hits your town it's not just passing through. In Canberra, the festival is teaming up again with Canberra University to run Short Internship Placements in the lead-up to the event — a chance for local event management students to get hands on experience with industry professionals. The Woden School is also back on board as part of the Work Experience Program For Youth.
The festival also involves local music and art. UC Live are re-hosting Chalkboard — an intimate setting for Canberra's musos to play — Commit No Nuisance are once again locked in the colour the capital's fence lines and this year Jess Cochrane will be producing portraits of the artists each day as part of Live Art @ GTM not to mention mentoring 12 young artists for the Sister Cities Art Project.
