In Bendigo, the festival is teaming up again with La Trobe University to run Short Internship Placements.
In the words of co-promoter Stephen Halpin, "Groovin The Moo has always put considerable significance in engaging in various community programs around the country."
The short and sweet of which is that when GTM hits your town it's not just passing through. In Bendigo, the festival is teaming up again with La Trobe University to run Short Internship Placements in the lead-up to the event — a chance for local event management students to get hands-on experience with industry professionals. FReeZA is also back on board as part of the Work Experience Program For Youth.
The festival also supports local art — the Sister City Arts Program will work with local talents Karen Annett-Thomas and Louise Fisher to mentor 12 young artists, and Hiphopportunities are set to push their creative abilities for the festival's national Live Art @ GTM project. As a special extra, GTM has also worked with Bendigo Modern Press to produce Groovin, a reflection of the festival's decade-long history.
Bendigo Beer, Harcourt Cider and Sofi have even signed up to make sure you've got something quality to sip on.
