"We have a once in a generation opportunity to turn things around, and Green Music Australia will continue to do its bit to ensure our industry comes back stronger and more sustainable than ever."
Journalist Tracee Hutchison has joined Green Music Australia's board of directors as Chair.
The award winning music journalist has previously worked for the likes of triple j (helping launch the station nationally), 3RRR, RocKwiz, 7.30 Report, Music Victoria, and more.
Hutchison is also an acclaimed TV producer and author, having released three books including the Australian music anthology Your Name's On The Door in 1992.
“I started broadcasting because I believed music could change the world - I still do - nothing connects the heart and head like the power of music as a call to action," said Hutchison.
"After a long career connecting music and social justice through my media, arts and education work, I am very proud to support the incredibly inspiring work of Green Music Australia, connecting and empowering musicians and the music industry to make environmental justice and social equity a reality."
Hutchison is joined by London-based Tina Kothari who is the director of Anotherway Associates and founder of the Anotherway Now charity which highlights human rights issues through educational events. Kothari joins the board as Deputy Chair.
